Peter Gourdin genealogical papers, 1836-1880 (bulk 1873-1880).

Papers consist of correspondence and notes pertaining to Gourdin's genealogical research concerning the Moultrie and Brailsford families of South Carolina. Correspondence consists mainly of letters from Gourdin to Dr. William Moultrie Brailsford in Summerville, S.C. An earlier document (1836) contains handwritten excerpts from newspaper articles concerning General William Moultrie, George Washington, and Maria Pinckney, and has annotations in pencil.
